For the past few months, I’ve been a contributor to a website that offers tips for writers. Some of them ran on this blog first, my articles about using descriptions of things that are “red,” “loud,” or “big” to their fullest. But now I am posting new material! During October, Our Write Side featured a piece about crowdfunding for writers as part of their networking theme.
But in November, of course, our thoughts turned to Nationa Novel Writing Month. I wrote most of No Rest for the Wicked during NaNoWriMo last year. This year, November proved too filled with TeslaCon and Army of Brass to make it work. I’ll be in Germany for a long stretch this spring and I’ll be doing my own personal NaNo somewhere in there. The month doesn’t really matter, only the commitment to write 50k words 30 days.
So, I may not be playing right now, but I’m glad I got a chance to share some wisdom. Even if you are participating in NaNoWriMo, you might find some helpful approaches for finishing any first draft on a tight deadline. Read the article on Our Write Side to find out more.
