If you’ve been following me and my antics this year, you’re likely aware that I write columns for Our Write Side. In addition to offering a great range of services and advice articles for authors, they are also a burgeoning publishing house.
I am thrilled to officially share with you that coming February 14, 2019, Our Write Side Ink will be publishing my first novel, Riftmaker.
If the title doesn’t sound familiar, that’s my fault rather than yours. I finished this Steampunk portal fantasy about a shapeshifting dog in search of his boy back in 2016. But after an unsavory experience with a so-called publishing house back then, I abandoned the project for a while. Frankly, it was just too painful at the time. I moved on to starting the Mistress of None series during NaNoWriMo 2016 and that has been my main focus.
Just recently, I realized all over again what a fun story Riftmaker is, and decided to shake off the digital dust and revise it for publication. I’ve learned a LOT since writing that first draft, and I am grateful to have the opportunity to get it polished and into the hands of readers even after so long.
And you know what they say, when it rains, it pours. So stay tuned for some excerpts, the cover, and blurb reveals for Riftmaker right around the corner, and my other exciting news on the publishing front coming soon!
